The rules for using Dishsplit, in plain words. Dishsplit is a Lotlsoft project ("we").
Using Dishsplit
By using Dishsplit, or creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.
What Dishsplit does, and does not do
Dishsplit works out who owes what on a shared bill, from the receipt as it was loaded. It does not move money. Payments happen between you and the payer, outside Dishsplit, and we cannot see, check, reverse or refund them.
Check your total and the payment details before you pay. If a price is wrong, suggest a fix. We are not responsible for money sent to the wrong place, a receipt loaded wrongly, or a disagreement at the table.
Bill links
Anyone with a bill's link can see the whole bill and change it within the app's rules. Send it only to the people at the table. The payer link is a key: anyone holding it can act as the payer, so do not share it.
What you put in
Enter only what the bill needs: the receipt, names people at the table go by, and how to pay the payer. Do not use Dishsplit for anything unlawful, to harass anyone, or to enter someone else's private details. We may remove a bill or a name that breaks these terms.
Accounts
Accounts are optional and only for payers. You must be 16 or older to create one. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete it at any time from Your account, or as described on Deleting your account or a bill.
Free, as is
Dishsplit is free. It is provided as is, without warranties, and may change or stop. We are not liable for loss arising from using it, including lost data, to the extent the law allows. Nothing here reduces your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which apply whatever these terms say.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date below changes when we do. Using Dishsplit after a change means you accept the new terms.
